The BloodBath in the Western Conference Finals

The BloodBath in the NBA Western Conference Finals - Predictions

With the 4-1 convincing victories in the semifinals of the Western Conference ,both the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors moved into the WCF (read Western Conference Finals) which was destined to happen since the main threat San Antonio Spurs were without the Kawhi Leonard  and the OKC were found looking for ways to adjust even after playing yearlong.
This was inevitable and Chris Paul made sure that 2nd round exit jinx is broken with a super efficient monstrous performance (41 points , 8-10 from 3 , 0 turnovers) to dispatch the Jazz while the Warriors looked like the team to beat with the return of Steph Curry in the lineup.

This is going to be one of the most intense playoff series in the recent past (if not for Zaza's heroics, last year's WCF would have been equally good).  Why this is going to be a treat for the basketball lovers is because the Rockets have the home court advantage while the Warriors are a better team on court as well as on paper with 4 All-Stars in the starting lineup.

Starting with the matchups the closest will be the PG position with both Curry and CP3 carrying majority of load on offense+distribution. While Curry's strength lies in exceptional scoring , Paul's forte is the intelligent playmaking and mid-range shooting.

At the SG position Harden will be the reason if Houston are able to be keep up with the Warriors' while Klay will be running around a lot to get open looks. While Harden will have tough time running around Klay (one of the best off-ball movers) , Klay is known for his good defensive aptitude and this will be a fun matchup too.

At SF Durant will have complete dominance and players like him can only be slowed down (to stop him you need someone like Kawhi Leonard). Although Ariza and Luc Mbah are good defensively but not on the level of competing with Durant. Durant has his spots and he makes shots at will from those spots.

At PF Draymond will keep his flag up against PJ Tucker and will continue flirting with the triple doubles.

At C noone in the Warriors' roster can stop Clint Capela and his Pick n Roll with Paul & Harden would be crucial.

Eventually major factor in this series would be Klay and Capela. While Harden has to step up defensively and run endlessly to contest Klay because once he gets hot hand there is no stopping him. On the other hand Coach Kerr has to devise something to stop the Capela's destruction in the paint since he is a good defensive minded C who runs PnR to near perfection.

Clearly the Warriors are on a pace to make another finals appearance but CP3 along with Harden will make sure that this chance is not wasted.

Prediction: Houston in 7 (4-3)

Cousins to Warriors is perfect ingredient to kill NBA next season

When the Golden State Warriors steamrolled over the Cleveland Cavs by making a 4-0 sweep , nobody thought they needed to make any major move in the upcoming offseason but something crazy happened and we're all shocked to the core. Apparently, the Golden State Warriors weren't already good enough and they needed to add some more starpower to the already lethal composition. When Lebron joined the Lakers with Rondo,McGee and Stephenson , Warriors couldn't digest the limelight shifting to another western conference franchise so they chose to do the unthinkable and soon after last seasons victory they emerged victorious against Lebron once more. The Warriors signed Cousins for $5.3 million (1 year) using the mid level exception similar to how Lakers used it for signing Lance Stephenson. Now the warriors' starting 5 has an All Star at every position (as if already having 4 All Stars wasn't already crazy). PG- Curry (26.4 ppg / 5.1 rpg / 6.1 apg) SG- Klay (20 p...
